Delete your HelperDoc account
You can delete your HelperDoc account at any time — from the mobile app or from the website. This page explains how to do it and what happens to your data afterwards.
Delete from the mobile app
Open the HelperDoc app and go to the Profile tab.
Under Account, tap Delete account.
Type DELETE to confirm, then tap "Yes, delete my account".
You are signed out straight away.
Delete from the website
Sign in at helperdocs.com and open your account settings.
In the "Delete your account" section, type DELETE to confirm and submit.
You are signed out straight away and cannot sign back in.
What happens immediately
You are signed out and your login stops working.
If you are a helper, your profile is removed from the public marketplace. If you are an employer, your job posts are withdrawn.
Message threads stay visible to the people you messaged, but your name shows as "Deleted User".
What happens after 90 days
Your personal information — name, email, phone, photos, identification numbers and addresses — is moved to a protected archive that is not part of the live system.
The live database keeps only an empty placeholder, so other people’s records stay correctly linked.
What we keep, and why
Business records such as service cases, sales orders and payments are retained as required by Hong Kong accounting and employment-agency law. These are kept whether or not you delete your account.
Security and audit log entries are retained for the periods set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changed your mind?
Within the 90-day window you can contact us to cancel the deletion and restore your account. After 90 days, only a court order or a safety investigation can restore the archived data.
