Hire a domestic helper in Hong Kong

Filipino, Indonesian and Sri Lankan helpers — vetted and processed end-to-end by our licensed Hong Kong office, with a status portal you can check any time.

What we cover

What we handle for HK employers

We process every paperwork step required by HK Immigration, the helper's home-country government and the deployment authority (DMW for Filipinos; KP2MI, formerly BP2MI, for Indonesians). For overseas hires we take care of the full deployment cycle — for helpers already in Hong Kong we handle the new visa application and change of employer. Every case is tracked in our live status portal so you can see exactly where things stand.

Process

How a Hong Kong hire moves

  1. 1

    Tell us your situation

Fill out a short intake form or WhatsApp our HK office. We confirm what your case needs (overseas vs local, Filipino vs Indonesian, full placement vs direct hire).

  2. 2

    Sign the contract

We draft the Standard Employment Contract (ID 407) per HK Immigration rules. You sign with the helper digitally or in our office.

  3. 3

    Process the paperwork

For overseas: MWO (Migrant Workers Office) contract verification, OWWA/PDOS/OEC for PH, KP2MI registration for ID, origin medical, and the employees' compensation insurance Hong Kong law requires. For local: the HK visa application and change of employer.

  4. 4

    Coordinate arrival

Flight booking and airport pickup (add-on); the helper then reports to our office for the HK ID card arrangement.

  5. 5

    Onboard at home

Helper starts with your family. We stay reachable through the status portal and our HK office line for the first three months.

FAQ

Common questions about hiring in Hong Kong

How long does it take from contract to arrival?

For overseas Filipino: usually 4–6 weeks once OEC is submitted. For overseas Indonesian: 6–8 weeks (Indonesian-side processing is slower). For local hires (helper already in HK): 2–3 weeks for the visa paperwork.

Do I need to provide a helper, or can you find one?

Both. Direct hire = you bring the helper, we handle the paperwork (lower fee). Full placement = we source from our pool of verified profiles, vet, and place.

What's the Standard Employment Contract?

It's the contract (ID 407) HK Immigration requires for every foreign domestic helper. It sets the Minimum Allowable Wage — HK$5,220 a month for contracts signed on or after 3 October 2026 (contracts signed at HK$5,100 on or before 2 October 2026 are accepted only if submitted to Immigration by 30 October 2026) — plus a food allowance of at least HK$1,236 a month if food is not provided free, one rest day a week, statutory holidays and live-in accommodation. We draft it to your terms within those minimums.

Can I hire a helper currently working for someone else in HK?

Yes, if her current contract is finishing (a "finished-contract" helper) — that's a local hire, usually faster and cheaper than hiring from overseas. After an early termination, Immigration does not normally approve a change of employer in Hong Kong except in exceptional circumstances (e.g. the previous employer's relocation, death or financial difficulty, or abuse); otherwise the helper must return home and apply from there. We check her situation first, then handle the visa application.

What happens if the helper doesn't work out?

See "Replacement protection" on each package card. In short: free replacement before she reports to consulate, 50% refund (or substitute) before OEC submission, no refund once OEC is submitted.
