As of 28 October 2026, use the Labour Department’s Employment Agencies Portal to check an agency before using its services. Search its English or Chinese name; the official tool also offers district and placement-type filters. The portal provides valid-licence information and records of overcharging or unlicensed-operation convictions, licence revocation or refusal of renewal, and written warnings. Review these records alongside the licence check rather than relying only on an advertisement. If the result is unclear, ask the Employment Agencies Administration before proceeding. Employers should also clarify the service terms in writing and keep payment receipts.
