When does my helper get paid home leave?

We do our best to keep this updated as the rules change. Please cross-check with the relevant authority for the very latest details.

After completing each 2-year contract, the helper is entitled to a paid return ticket home and home leave (commonly 14 days, agreed in the contract). Some employers also offer paid annual home leave during the contract — this is a perk, not a legal requirement.
